We were excited to be invited to produce a custom map for the annual Patterdale Parish Boundary Challenge event (affectionately known as the “Beat the Bounds” race). We worked closely with the event organisers to understand their requirements, and produce a map to suit there needs.
Key features of the custom map:
- Laser Mountain Maps clear and uncluttered mapping printed at the perfect 1:30,000 scale.
- Custom map overlay showing start, finish, checkpoints and routes.
- Four separate course routes shown: full boundary, first or second half boundary, and “minibeat”.
- Course markings in a distinctive purple, contrasting with rest of the map.
- Course statistics (distance / ascent).
- Emergency instructions and contact number.
- Event, sponsor and partner logos.
